Nowadays the android can emulate 90's console and handheld quality. Lits of emulators for the NES, GB, GBA And even PS.
Just recently released was an emulator for digivices which were also popular during that time. (Link to the android market as below)

Through a span of 2 weeks i spawned and trained 2 digimon and battled a number of random digimon scanned from various barcodes.
Digimon staywd true to the original and the illustrations help you identify your digimon. There is even a family tree to keep track of which dogimon were bred and battled.
The app also integrated chat rooms where you can battle other players since digivices were virtual and lacked the olden comm electronics to work.
However fun it was its a monster that consumed 20-30% battery daily to run. ( it has to run in the background all the time )
Verdict: uninstalled after extracted my childhood revenge.
